I stayed in the new The Quad Resort still undergoing renovations but the staff was friendly and I actually appreciated the antique look to my penthouse. The balcony view was nice and private.
The casino contains a dining area which has a little cute Mexican restaurant called Quesadillas. The food can use some work but the appearance was very unique. I appreciated the chandeliers made out of corona bottles, very innovative! They also serve happy hour with dollar margaritas; lime and strawberry.
The actual competition was held at The New Orleans Casino a hotel, off the strip, but highly decorative and appealing to visit. The arena was nice although the walk up and down the stairs gave me a good work out. I enjoyed the fresh smoothies with the option of infusing your smoothie with some adult beverage content. The competition was intense and the teams were all so well prepared and skilled. The finale was amazing! Full of fun effects and creative dance mix catering to the different audiences in the crowd.
While there I also got to visit the Las Vegas Ross. Always like to check out how the stores differ from city to city and now state :).
On the drive home there is nothing like stopping and doing a little retail therapy at store outlets. State line is a highly visited pit stop on the road to and from Las Vegas.
A great trip with new made memories - alongside my son and family.
Happy Blogging !!!!
