Breakfast Goodness!

Good Morning to all!

I sit here remembering the time that as a child my sister-in-law attempted to make me oatmeal for breakfast. I will never forget that day the taste of that oatmeal was something I could not understand. Maybe it was way too healthy for me at the time, but I know that I never wanted to touch it again.

Ironically, during my pregnancy I consumed so much oatmeal and craved it that now I experiment with different flavors and types of oatmeals. If you ask me now, I can't stay away from oatmeal. I know last year I posted on Instagram some oatmeals that I was gifted during the Expo West Convention.

This year although I did not get to obtain as much product, I was very glad to see that the company still made an appearance at the show.

Last year I meant to write a blog to inform all my readers on how wonderful this product is but unfortunatley I never got around to doing it. So, like I often say, better late than never, right?

Modern Oats is a gluten free line and one of  their goals is to "Change people's perception of 'old fashioned'oatmeal," and let me tell you they sure changed my viewpoint.  This line only works with small farms in the upper Midwest of North America. They are certified vegan and made 100% from whole grains.

This is one of the recent flavors I had this week, Mango Blackberry. It was truly delicious and flavorful, finished the whole serving alone. Contains Phillippine mango, Washington State blackberries, cranberries, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, and flax seeds. Ideally, I love this choice because it's also good if your on the run. Pour your choice of milk or water and take it to go! Never miss breakfast again!

With six flavors to choose from, I doubt you can get bored of eating oatmeal  for breakfast and possibly will even choose it for a healthy snack.
Popular with kids too! My son completely approves and also asks from time to time to have Modern Oats oatmeal.

Thanks to Modern Oats I can emphasize the importance of healthy eating in my son's diet.

If you thought oatmeal was a thing of the past I hope this brand can excite you about new ways to incorporate oatmeal into your diet!

Expo West Fun

I am very excited because I have tons of things I have been dying to blog about, but just have very little time with all my other projects in between.

As many of you know I attended the Natural Food Expo West Event last weekend, which I came away with lots of goodies. Last year, I failed to blog about all the things I received, mainly because my mother decided to try everything while I was away (LOL). Non the less, this year I plan to devote more time into letting my readers know about the products I'm using.

At the Expo I was proud to represent The Ginger People, where they make everything ginger. I will talk about some of their products later down the road. Had such a blessed time walking around with this lovely gal around the show. Furthermore, we both were able to obtain so many goodies! Teamwork is definitely more effective!

Without further ado, let's get down to business.

I just started using a bar soap by Grandpa's. This brand has been around since 1878! Wow!
Origins stem from Ohio, Tippecanoe.

First of all, I'm not the biggest fan of bar soap, I love my luffa too much! The particular reason this soap attracted my attention stemmed from the contents, witch-hazel. I suffer lots from itchiness, I guess it can be categorized as a type of mild eczema. I know many suffer from this annoying skin troubles.
So, I did some research and found that witch-hazel has great effects for your skin. It can minimize pores and clarify skin.

After checking out this article:
http://www.naturallivingideas.com/14-reasons-why-witch-hazel-should-be-in-every-home/
I found 14 beneficial uses for with hazel. Here are some that I thought were most beneficial:
1. Natural Astringent
2. Reduces Blemishes and bruises.
3. Brightens around the eye area
