In Need of Petite

First and foremost,  I hope everyone enjoyed and spent a Happy St. Patricks Day. 🍀🎉🎊🍻
Whether you chose to partake in a festivity or simply caught up on rest (like myself), I hope it was a happy Monday.

Today I want to switch the focus of my blog over to fashion.
As a small child I took pride in making a fashion statement. Always gravitating  toward one of a kind styles. Trendy, classy yet urban is how I like to classify my current personal fashion choices.
I would like to take you through a glimpse of some of those fashion choices.
Sporting the good old Hello Kitty!!!!
Boy Fashion turned girly! Good old sailor suit!
Baggie pants! Oh yeah I rocked them in my toddler years :)
I guess you can say I was destined to be a fashionista!
Repping that Cali in El Salvador at the age of 6! Awww Memories.
One of my favorites! 6th Grade Talent Show! Hip-hop, classy ribbon dancers.... Wow! What a concept!
Although the picture does no justice, I color coordinated every detail! From the burgundy nail tips, to the burgundy headband adorning my hair, and a shocking finish with that gothic style chocker.
Look at this Salsa Perfomance Custome! And those shoes! Ha!
Guess I loved those backless shirts that tied! I thought they were the sexiest tops around. But check out those pants, shiny pleather (Obviously!!!) with zippers that ran down starting at the thigh! Very one of a kind. Can't forget about the jewels placed in the middle of my forehead. Guess culture blending has always been a friend to me.
Couldn't go with out sharing this one! Look at that hair! Wow!

So I guess you can say, I kind of always been somewhat of a trend setter. ;)

A well rounded individual, something my high school Teacher's encouraged and instilled in my character. Thank God they did so, because now all of those traits are benefitting me as I plan for future career choices.

A designer in me has always existed. At 15, I designed my Quinceañera dress, as well as the dresses for the ladies in my court. I planned out the whole event, mind you this was not your typical Quinceñera! A mixture of Japanese culture and the typical traditional concept of little girl entering womanhood were all combined. Looking back now I think, how did I ever manage? Of course, I have to give a big thanks to my lovely parents for always allowing me to express myself! Love them to death!
It's really hard to tell the detail put into the dresses in these pictures! But this was before internet, digital cameras and selfies even existed!
My dress consisted of a top made with an intricate lacy and beaded sequence design. It was an off the shoulder dress look. The bottom consisted of a sheer shiffon adorned with lavender fabric and individually sown flowers derived from the top sequence.
The court wore the same dress design but their top was adorned with a lovely pearl pendant in the middle of the bust area. A touch of classiness resulted from the black long sleeved gloves.
For my junior prom I once again revisited my designer self. An inspiration derived from my Quinceañera design.
You can see I chose the same fabric for the front of the top. This consisted of a two piece set. A long pencil skirt with side slits that attached to the top portion with beaded strands.
This is a great view of that backless designed I so loved during this time. The exception I made was substituting the cloth string with these pearl beads.

So what, you say! Well, reason I share all this is to be able to bring you 360 to the biggest fashion event I  was blessed to attend last week.

Welcome to Style Fashion Week LA.

What an amazing event! I left there full of positive energy! The people were down to earth, super friendly, and just very encouraging.

So what is Style Fashion LA?
Well this event is ONLY the biggest and most influential fashion event of the season. A week full of fashion now esteemed by the City of Los Angeles as the Official LA Fashion Week. Below you can see the layout of the lovely venue.

For a week long, the Upper Deck at LA Live was host to some of the most influential fashion gurus of the season (Betsy Johnson, Andre Soriano, MT Costello, Poetic Justice, Jaime Elyse, and many more).

Here are the designers that graced the catwalk during my attendance.

Along with some pictures of the models as they strut their stuff!
Watching the runway models was an experience in itself, but I got to admit the best moments in my night were being in the green room.

These fashion styles were outrageously innovative! Amazing styles and extremely unique.

I got to meet great people!  Feel that positive energy flowing off as a reminder of the great sane, "Don't give up, just follow your dreams!"

Recognized this young female rapper from the Hip Hop School of Arts inauguration. Always good to run into familiar faces!

Get a chuckle out of me standing next to some of these models.
And in the midst of all the meet and greets I found some time to kick up my feet!
Of course can't forget about the car model in me!
Now those are some classy rides! Extremely exclusive.

Such an eventful day! I'd like to wrap up with first thanking the two people that made this day possible for me.
Inventor and Designer Jerry Zarnakee!
[By the way check out his bling! Big hit all night.]

And fashion/ media photographer Ed Melliza.

I close with a lovely photo of two successful Bruin professionals breaking barriers in the industry.
Jessi Malay states in her latest diplo "It's a Revolution" and it definetly is. Who says shorties don't like fashion? It's about time we change things up and take a chance!!!! And don't worry Jessi I definetly don't plan to let them steal my light!

Let's explore the world and open the doors to my 5 and under models out there.

The Revolution has begun!!!!!!!
